On 13 August, Monarch was honored with a Bronze Stevie® Award in the Career and Workforce Readiness Solution category at the prestigious 21st Annual International Business Awards®. This recognition highlights our unwavering commitment to empowering individuals and communities through innovative education and technology.
The International Business Awards (IBAs) are the world’s premier business awards program, attracting nominations from organisations across 62 nations and territories. This year, over 3,600 nominations were submitted from various industries, showcasing the breadth of talent, innovation, and impact present on the global stage.
Monarch’s winning submission centered around our Professional Diploma of Accounting (PDA) program, specifically designed for the Solomon Islands, in partnership with the Institute of Solomon Island Accountants, the Institute of Public Accountants and the Department of Foreign Affairs. This initiative addresses critical workforce development needs in a region that faces unique economic and educational challenges. By delivering tailored education solutions and utilising technology to overcome geographical barriers, Monarch Institute is not only building capacity but also setting a benchmark for sustainable development in emerging markets.
One of the judges remarked, “Monarch Institute has made a significant impact in the Solomon Islands through its innovative Professional Diploma of Accounting (PDA) program. By providing tailored education and leveraging technology, Monarch has set a benchmark for sustainable capacity-building in developing nations.”
Nick Chapman, CEO of Monarch Institute, expressed his pride in the recognition: “We are so pleased to be recognised for this program. This acknowledgment reinforces the impact we’re having in the Solomon Islands and motivates us to continue pushing boundaries in education.”
Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 300 executives worldwide, participating in a rigorous judging process during June and July. Maggie Miller, President of the Stevie Awards, noted, “The winners have demonstrated that their organisations have set and achieved lofty goals. We congratulate them on their recognised achievements, and look forward to celebrating them on stage in Istanbul on 11 October.”
Monarch is proud to be recognised alongside so many other outstanding organisations making a difference globally. This award reaffirms our dedication to providing innovative education solutions that create lasting, positive change.
We look forward to celebrating this achievement at the gala banquet in Istanbul, Türkiye, on Friday, 11 October.
